孩子一旦養成閱讀的習慣，他們在學業上的表現自然不俗。
閱讀為我們的世界，開啓萬萬千千的窗，讓我們可以體驗這個世界，也更能理解其他的人。透過閱讀，可以建立這些在社會中能與別人密切合作的基礎，是攀越社會階級階梯的終南捷徑。
如果家中沒有書架，買上一、兩個，然後裝滿書吧！那不止代表您是怎樣的一個人，訴說您的故事，那也代表您的孩子不可限量的未來。
書中自有黃金屋，書中自有顏如玉，這句中國的古諺說得真好。
再不濟，當有一天我們再也不能陪伴孩子了，如果他們已經養成閱讀的習慣，那麼他們就會有一本又一本書的陪伴，他們也就不會感到太寂寞了。
富有而且成功的Bill Gates ，每年都還讀50本書。相信書本，在他功成名就的路上，是一直陪伴著他的。
