We can also expect more severe wildfires, droughts, heat waves, and floods in many parts of the world. And over the coming decades, as soils become increasingly desertified, it is estimated that hundreds of millions to well over a billion people will migrate in search of a better life. The mass movement of hungry people can have seriously harmful ripple effects. Competition between existing residents and new arrivals can flare racial and ethnic tensions, amplifying political instability and stoking conflict. Women migrating under the threat of sexual violence are known to be prone to anxiety, depression, and suicide. Farmers who remain and try to harvest their diminishing crop will often take on greater loans and may commit suicide when the pressure becomes too much to bear. Resources that communities depend on, like fisheries, will dry up and the jobs that relied on those resources will vanish. At that point, the people with the most money, education, and social supports will leave those regions to look for better prospects, leaving behind groups of less resilient people in increasingly insecure places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As this pattern develops, the most vulnerable people will end up clustering in the most vulnerable places. Inequality will widen, and mental disorders will spread. When the next disaster violently upends people’s lives, emotional aftershocks such as PTSD, suicidality, depression, domestic abuse, and substance abuse will all spike, getting worse before they get better. Poor people’s property will be significantly more damaged than that of the rich. Anyone who didn’t get adequately warned or given enough time to evacuate, or who had their power go down, or experienced the death of loved ones, or lost precious property, will face a much higher risk of mental illness than those were luckier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u9019\u500b\u6a21\u5f0f\u7e7c\u7e8c\u767c\u5c55\uff0c\u90a3\u4e9b\u6700\u8106\u5f31\u7684\u4eba\u5011\uff0c\u7d42\u5c07\u7fa4\u805a\u5728\u6700\u8106\u5f31\u7684\u5730\u65b9\u3002\u8ca7\u5bcc\u4e0d\u5747\u6703\u64f4\u5927\uff0c\u7cbe\u795e\u75be\u75c5\u6703\u6f2b\u5ef6\u3002\u7576\u4e0b\u4e00\u500b\u707d\u5bb3\u985b\u8986\u4eba\u5011\u7684\u751f\u547d\u7684\u6642\u5019\uff0c\u7cbe\u795e\u4e0a\u5f8c\u7e8c\u7684\u9707\u64bc\uff0c\u8b6c\u5982\u5275\u50b7\u75c7\u5019\u7fa4\u3001\u81ea\u6bba\u50be\u5411\u3001\u6182\u9b31\u75c7\u3001\u5bb6\u66b4\u3001\u85e5\u7269\u6feb\u7528\u7b49\u7b49\u5c07\u6fc0\u589e\uff0c\u5728\u6062\u5fa9\u524d\u8b8a\u672c\u52a0\u53b2\u3002\u8ca7\u56f0\u8005\u7684\u8ca1\u7522\u640d\u5931\uff0c\u9060\u6bd4\u5bcc\u6709\u7684\u4eba\u4f86\u5f97\u66f4\u5927\u3002\u672a\u88ab\u9069\u7576\u8b66\u793a\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u6216\u6c92\u6709\u7d66\u8db3\u5920\u6642\u9593\u4f86\u64a4\u9000\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u6216\u6c92\u6709\u529b\u6c23\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u6216\u8005\u7d93\u6b77\u5931\u53bb\u6240\u611b\u7684\u4eba\u8005\uff0c\u6216\u5931\u53bb\u500b\u4eba\u73cd\u8cb4\u8ca1\u7522\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u6bd4\u8d77\u5176\u4ed6\u90a3\u4e9b\u6bd4\u8f03\u5e78\u904b\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u4ed6\u5011\u9762\u5c0d\u7f79\u60a3\u7cbe\u795e\u75be\u75c5\u7684\u98a8\u96aa\u5c07\u66f4\u9ad8\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n
