\u201cIn little over a century we have lost nearly 95 percent of the world\u2019s rhinos. Once there were 500,000 of them roaming the wilds of Africa and Asia, but now fewer than 29,000 survive: about 20,000 southern white rhinos, just over 5,000 black rhinos, 100 Sumatran rhinos, 61-63 Javan rhinos and just three northern white rhinos\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

White rhinos(there are two sub-species, northern and southern) have a wide upper lip. White is actually mistranslation of Dutch word wijd, meaning wide, and nothing to do with their skin color\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAll rhinos spend up to half their lives eating and a third of the time sleeping. They need to drink regularly and although they can go several days without, they prefer to stay close to water\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRhinos communicate using a wide range of sounds, including infrasonic notes that humans cannot hear but which travel long distances. Their eyesight is poor, but is compensated by their excellent hearing and sense of smell\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u7280\u725b\u6e9d\u901a\u7684\u8072\u97f3\u983b\u7387\u5f88\u5ee3\uff0c\u5305\u542b\u4eba\u807d\u4e0d\u5230\u4f46\u53ef\u4ee5\u50b3\u5f97\u5f88\u9060\u7684\u8d85\u4f4e\u983b\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u5b83\u5011\u7684\u8996\u529b\u4e0d\u597d\uff0c\u9084\u597d\u807d\u89ba\u548c\u55c5\u89ba\u90fd\u5f88\u654f\u92b3\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rhino\u2019s gestation is 15-16 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u7280\u725b\u7684\u598a\u5a20\u61f7\u5b55\u671f\u662f15-16\u500b\u6708\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCalves remain with their mothers until they are two or three years old, sometimes older, but an older calf is always driven away if the mother give birth again. However, if a calf is in any way poorly, the mother will always reject it\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlthough rhinos have few natural predators, it is us who once again are the biggest enemy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u5728\u4e9e\u6d32\u7684\u570b\u5bb6\uff0c\u4e3b\u8981\u662f\u4e2d\u570b\u548c\u8d8a\u5357\uff0c\u7280\u725b\u89d2\u88ab\u88fd\u6210\u6625\u85e5\u3001\u6602\u8cb4\u7684\u98f2\u54c1\u3001\u764c\u75c7\u6cbb\u5291\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u5176\u5be6\uff0c\u7280\u725b\u89d2\u7684\u6210\u4efd\u88cf\uff0c\u5b8c\u5168\u90fd\u6c92\u6709\u9019\u4e9b\u5ba3\u7a31\u7684\u7642\u6548\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2026And then there are survivors. Badly mutilated and traumatized, they are in desperate need of intensive care from a handful of vets dedicated to their recovery\u2026With more than a thousand rhinos killed for their horns each year, the stakes have never been higher.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u6bcf\u5e74\u8d85\u904e1,000\u982d\u7684\u7280\u725b\uff0c\u56e0\u70ba\u7280\u725b\u89d2\u800c\u88ab\u6bba\u5bb3\uff0c\u4ee3\u50f9\u975e\u5e38\u7684\u9ad8\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2026Not only it is traumatic, it is also emotionally draining to deal with dead and injured rhinos on an endless basis, Veterinarians, rhino owners, anti-poaching units, helicopter pilots; they all face the same tragedies and go through the same emotional rollercoaster\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u9664\u4e86\u5fc3\u88cf\u611f\u5230\u53d7\u50b7\u5bb3\uff0c\u5fc5\u9808\u7121\u7aae\u7121\u76e1\u5730\u4e0d\u65b7\u9762\u5c0d\u53d7\u50b7\u6216\u6b7b\u4ea1\u7684\u7280\u725b\uff0c\u662f\u4ee4\u4eba\u8eab\u5fc3\u4ff1\u75b2\u7684\u4e8b\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u7378\u91ab\u3001\u7280\u725b\u4e3b\u3001\u53cd\u5077\u7375\u5c0f\u7d44\u3001\u76f4\u6607\u6a5f\u99d5\u99db\u7b49\u7b49\uff0c\u90fd\u53d7\u5230\u9019\u7a2e\u885d\u64ca\uff0c\u4ed6\u5011\u90fd\u5fc5\u9808\u9762\u5c0d\u76f8\u540c\u7684\u60b2\u5287\uff0c\u8f9b\u82e6\u8abf\u9069\ud840\udd18\u53d7\u58d3\u529b\u4e4b\u5f8c\u60c5\u7dd2\u7684\u5de8\u5927\u9707\u76ea\u8d77\u4f0f\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSouth Africa alone has lost more than 5,000 rhinos over the past five years., conservatively speaking. Wildlife crime and corruption is spreading like a cancer, while elephants and rhinos are being massacred across the Africa continent\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u4fdd\u5b88\u4f30\u8a08\uff0c\u5728\u904e\u53bb5\u5e74\uff0c\u55ae\u55ae\u5728\u5357\u975e\u6d32\u6211\u5011\u5c31\u75db\u5931\u4e86\u8d85\u904e5,000\u982d\u7684\u7280\u725b\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n
