Marbled lungfish is also likely to survive any apocalypse we might care to throw at the world as it will fully prepared for a barren world with no water; whatever happens, lungfish will be ready.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marbled lungfish\u662f\u6de1\u6c34\u9b5a\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u4e0d\u53ef\u5c0f\u89b7\u4e86\u5b83\u3002\u5b83\u53ef\u9577\u5927\u52302\u7c73\u9577\u3002\u5b83\u300c\u9000\u5316\u300d\u7684\u9c2d\uff0c\u5728\u65f1\u5b63\u6642\u5247\u6709\u52a9\u65bc\u5b83\u5728\u6ce5\u6fd8\u7684\u9678\u5730\u4e0a\u530d\u4f0f\u524d\u9032\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026this is one of the four African species of lungfish and is rather a common species in Central Africa, found through out the Congo and Nile river systems, as well as in all the Rift Valley lakes. It can grow to 2 m(6 ft 7in) in length and has an entire body that seems to be composed of one giant muscle or beautiful patterned giant tongue. Its fins take the form of rather tiny flailing arms,\u2026,if a lungfish finds itself out of the water, the fins rotate like a robotic arm to propel the fish back to the water\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marbled lungfish\u9664\u4e86\u5728\u6c34\u88cf\u7528\u9c13\u547c\u5438\uff0c\u4e5f\u53ef\u4ee5\u76f4\u63a5\u5f9e\u6c34\u9762\u5438\u9032\u7a7a\u6c23\u3002\u5728\u65f1\u5b63\uff0cMarbled lungfish\u6703\u947d\u5230\u6ce5\u571f\u88cf\u9762\uff0c\u9032\u884c\u590f\u7720(aestivation)\uff0c\u8010\u5fc3\u7b49\u96e8\u5b63\u7684\u5230\u4f86\u3002\u5982\u679c\u6709\u9700\u8981\uff0c\u5b83\u751a\u81f3\u53ef\u4ee5\u9023\u7e8c\u7761\u4e0a\u9577\u9054\u5169\u5e74\u5462\uff01<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026lungfish can also breathe like \u2018normal\u2019 fish, too \u2014 absorbing oxygen from the water through gills. However, lungfish can also gulp air at the water surface\u2026when the water levels drop to a certain level, \u2026, lungfish start digging, burrowing down into the soft mud. Once the have dug deep enough, they cocoon themselves by producing a thin, self-made mucus membrane \u2014 something like a slimy sleeping bag. Once ensconced inside, they shut down all their metabolic and brain activity, and stay in suspended animation, waiting for better timed.
